Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 24, 2026.
These terms govern your use of the FocusFlow browser extension, this website (focusflowapp.in), and FocusFlow Pro subscriptions. By installing or using FocusFlow, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

FocusFlow is an accessibility extension that improves reading comfort by adjusting typography, fonts, and reading aids on the websites you visit. All processing happens locally in your browser, with one exception: the AI Reading Assistant (Pro) sends text you explicitly select to our server and to a third-party AI provider to produce definitions, simplifications, and summaries (see our Privacy Policy). The extension is free to use; FocusFlow Pro adds advanced features via a paid subscription.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of FocusFlow or its license validation, except as permitted by law.
  • Share, resell, or redistribute Pro license keys, or use a license key on more devices than the plan allows (1 device per license).
  • Use FocusFlow to violate any law, or to infringe the rights of any person or entity.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or circumvent the security or availability of focusflowapp.in or its payment partner's services.

3. FocusFlow Pro Subscriptions

  • Plans: Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, priced as shown on the Pro page.
  • Free trial: New subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. You are not charged until the trial ends; canceling before day 14 results in no charge.
  • Payment: Checkout and payment processing are handled by Dodo Payments. By purchasing, you agree to their terms and your payment method may be charged automatically at each renewal until you cancel.
  • Licenses: Each license covers 1 device at a time. You may deactivate a device and activate another.
  • AI Reading Assistant credits: The AI Reading Assistant (Define, Simplify, and Summarize) draws on a monthly credit pool of 1,000 credits per license, which resets every 30 days from the date the feature is first used. One credit covers approximately 1,000 characters of text (minimum 1 credit per request). Dictionary definitions and cached answers are free and never consume credits. Unused credits do not roll over to the next cycle.
  • Pausing: Subscriptions can be paused from the extension or the customer portal. Pausing stops all charges and freezes billing dates; Pro access (including the license key) is paused immediately and restored automatically on resume.
  • Fair use: AI requests are limited to 20,000 characters per request and a reasonable daily volume (150 requests per license per day) to protect service quality for all users. We may throttle or suspend access that materially exceeds these limits or that we reasonably determine to be abusive, automated, or commercial resale of the service.
  • AI output: Simplify, Summarize, and Define output is generated by third-party AI models and is provided "as is." It may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate and is intended as a reading aid, not as professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated answers.
  • Refunds: Covered by our Refund Policy.
  • Changes to pricing: We may change Pro pricing for future renewals with reasonable notice. Existing paid periods are never retroactively changed.

4. Intellectual Property

FocusFlow, its logos, and its website content are owned by FocusFlow and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. OpenDyslexic, Lexend, and Atkinson Hyperlegible fonts are used under their respective open licenses.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

FocusFlow is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that FocusFlow will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will improve any medical or educational condition.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FocusFlow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. In all cases, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

You may stop using FocusFlow at any time by uninstalling the extension and canceling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate access to the service for violation of these terms; paid periods already rendered are subject to our Refund Policy.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Effective Date" above reflects the latest version. Continued use of FocusFlow after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
