How to Use FocusFlow

Install the Extension
Navigate to the Chrome Web Store and click 'Add to Chrome'. Confirm the installation in your browser prompt.

Pin FocusFlow
Click the puzzle piece icon in your toolbar, find FocusFlow, and click the pin icon so it's always accessible.

Use the Quick Tools Popup
Click the FocusFlow icon to open the popup. Toggle the reading ruler, focus line, color overlay, and Bionic Reading with a single tap. Press Alt+Shift+D any time to open the popup on the current page.

Tune Each Site to Taste
FocusFlow now remembers typography and reading aids per-website. Adjust the font, size, and spacing once and FocusFlow will restore those settings whenever you come back. Love the result so much you want it everywhere? Tap Apply for All Sites in the More tab to push it to every website at once.

Open the Advanced Sidebar
Tap Advanced Settings in the popup to slide out the sidebar. You'll find four tabs — Typography, Visual Aids, Reading, and More — with profiles, site settings, font size limits, keyboard shortcuts, and a live preview of every change.

Is FocusFlow completely free?
Yes! FocusFlow is 100% free. Our goal is to make the web accessible to everyone who needs reading assistance.
What fonts does FocusFlow support?
FocusFlow supports OpenDyslexic, Lexend, and Atkinson Hyperlegible. Switch between them to find the one that works best for you.
Does it work on every website?
FocusFlow works on the vast majority of text-heavy websites and blogs. For highly customized web apps, styling may vary — that's why we offer a per-site disable feature.
What are the keyboard shortcuts?
- Alt + Shift + D: Open the FocusFlow popup
- Alt + Shift + F: Toggle the accessibility font on/off
- Alt + Shift + ↑: Increase font size
- Alt + Shift + ↓: Decrease font size
You can remap any shortcut from chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
How do per-site settings work?
FocusFlow remembers typography and reading aids for each website you visit. Tune the font, size, spacing, or reading aids once on a site, and those settings stay active whenever you return — while a different site can keep its own layout. Everything is stored locally in your browser and never transmitted.
What are the font size limits for?
Set a minimum and maximum font size in pixels and FocusFlow will clamp every page to that range. Tiny-print legal footers, dense sidebars, or pages with oversized headlines all get rescaled into your comfort zone automatically — no per-page tinkering required.
Is my browsing data safe?
Absolutely. FocusFlow runs entirely locally. We do not track the sites you visit, read your content, or sell your data.

priority. FocusFlow is designed to be a privacy-first accessibility tool.
1. Data Collection
FocusFlow does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. All processing happens entirely locally within your browser.
2. Required Permissions
activeTab/ Website Content: Required to inject accessibility fonts and modify the CSS of the page you are currently viewing.storage: Required to save your preferences locally (e.g., toggle state, per-site settings, profiles).tabs: Required to detect the active tab and apply your per-site settings when you switch between tabs.scripting: Required to apply typography and reading aids to the page you are currently viewing.sidePanel: Required to open the Advanced Sidebar added in v2.6.
3. External Network Requests
FocusFlow makes at most two external requests, and only under the conditions described below:
- Inter font (Google Fonts): Loaded for the extension's popup interface only. This request does not affect any website you visit and does not transmit any personal or browsing data. It will be removed in a future update to make FocusFlow fully offline.
- Feedback submissions (
focusflowapp.in): When — and only when — you explicitly submit the feedback form from the sidebar, FocusFlow posts your message to our own server atfocusflowapp.in. The current page URL, your typography settings, and a screenshot are included only if you opt in via the checkboxes on the form. Nothing is sent in the background, nothing is sent automatically, and the data is never shared with third parties.
4. Analytics and Tracking
We do not use any third-party analytics or trackers. We have no knowledge of your browsing history, the content you read, or how often you use the extension. There is no telemetry, no usage data collection, and no anonymous metrics of any kind.
