Private by design

FocusFlow was built privacy-first, and the AI Reading Assistant follows the same rules:

  • Text is sent to the AI provider only to produce your answer — never to anyone else.
  • Dictionary lookups are answered from the built-in WordNet dictionary on the server.
  • Completed answers are cached for up to 30 days so repeat requests are free; nothing is stored permanently.
  • No reading history, no profiles, no accounts are built from your selections.

What is FocusFlow AI Reading Assistant?

How do AI credits work?
Each Pro license gets 1,000 credits per month, resetting every 30 days from your first use. One credit covers about 1,000 characters of text. Dictionary answers and cached results are free.
Is the dictionary free?
Yes. Define answers most common words instantly from the built-in WordNet dictionary, with no credits used. Words the dictionary doesn't know fall back to the AI.
Does it work in other languages?
Yes. All three tools answer in the same language as the text you select, so the assistant works with any language the AI model supports.
What happens to my text?
Selected text is sent to the AI provider only to produce your answer. Completed answers are cached for up to 30 days so repeats are free and fast. Nothing is stored permanently or shared publicly.
