The FocusFlow dashboard is where the extension stops being a toolbar and becomes a reading environment. Beyond the popup's quick tools, it's a full hub: your reading stats, your saved pages and to-dos, your AI credits, your account, and every setting — in one place.
Here's what lives inside, and what's worth opening it for.
🚀 Opening the Dashboard
Click the dashboard icon in the popup or sidebar (or use right-click → Open dashboard) to open it in a new tab. It's organised into clear sections — no nested menus, no hunting.
📊 Overview: Your Reading, At a Glance
The Overview tab is where FocusFlow shows you what reading is actually doing for you. Four stat cards track:
- Total words read, all time
- Minutes saved (measured against a 200-words-per-minute baseline)
- Day streak — with your best day highlighted
- Avg words/day over the last 7 days
Your To-Do widget and Reading List widget sit right there too, so your next task and next read are never more than a glance away. This is the motivation layer: streaks and "minutes saved" turn an accessibility tool into something with visible progress.
📈 Reading: See the Shape of Your Week
The Reading tab digs into the numbers — your reading stats plus a bar chart of recent activity. See which days you read most, how much you read, and where your streaks are building.
📖 Reading Tools, All in One Tab
The Reading tab is also where the reading machinery lives: Text-to-Speech with its voice, speed, and highlighting controls, and Reader Mode for the immersive, distraction-stripped view. Both work from here on the current page — select text and read it aloud, or strip a cluttered article down to its words and an outline.
📚 Lists: Your Reading Library
The Lists area is home to the Reading List (free) and To-Do Lists (Pro):
- Reading List — save any page three ways (the 📌 button in Reader Mode, the Lists tab itself, or the right-click menu), then reopen, mark as read, or clear it when you're done.
- To-Do — quick tasks that stay at the top of your sidebar while you read, and sync with the FocusFlow web app.
✨ AI & Credits
The AI & Credits tab shows exactly where you stand: calls made, characters processed, a credit gauge, and your reset date out of the monthly 1,000. FocusFlow's AI reading tools — Define, Simplify, and Summarize — all draw from this pool, and dictionary lookups and cached answers are always free. Seeing the numbers in real time means no surprises.
👤 Account, License & Sync
Sign in with email or Google and verify your address to unlock settings sync. The License section handles Pro activation, re-validation, your support ID, and your subscription — everything about keeping FocusFlow running lives here.
⚙️ Settings That Respect You
The Settings section is organised into four groups:
- This site — site-specific settings and custom CSS
- How FocusFlow looks — reading comfort (interface font, text size), theme, and colour palette
- Where FocusFlow appears — context menu, smart suggestions, and sidebar widgets
- Sync and data — sync and reset
Everything is stored on your device and only synced when you turn sync on.
