FocusFlow v2.11.0 is here, and it's the release that lets you take your reading with you — and check that it landed. Reader Mode can now save an article as a PDF that keeps your font, theme and reading aids, Page Dark Mode darkens the pages you visit, and a new set of AI tools helps you test and deepen what you just read.
Whether you study from web articles, print your reading for later, or simply read late at night, this release is for you.
Here is what's waiting for you in version 2.11.0.
📄 Reader Mode: Save as PDF or HTML
Keep a copy of the article you are reading, set the way you read it.
- Save as HTML (free) saves a standalone web page.
- Save as PDF (Pro) keeps your Reader font, size, spacing, theme, reading aids, images and formatting.
- Save print-friendly PDF (Pro) gives you a white page with dark text — with the same font and aids.
How to export
- Open Reader Mode on the page.
- Click Export in the Reader Mode top bar.
- Choose Save as HTML, Save as PDF, or Save print-friendly PDF.
If a page has too many images to fit in a PDF, FocusFlow tells you and suggests Save as HTML instead. For the full story, see Save Reader Mode as PDF or HTML.
🌙 Page Dark Mode (Pro)
Dark backgrounds and light text on the web pages you visit. Choose Dark to keep it on, or System to follow your device's light/dark setting. Images and video are left as they are, and Reader Mode keeps its own theme.
How to turn it on
- Open the popup → click Advanced Settings.
- Switch to the Visual Aids tab.
- Turn on Page Dark Mode, then pick Dark or System.

🔊 Better AI Answers
Every AI answer got easier to use:
- Listen — a button on each answer reads it aloud; click Stop to end.
- Formatted answers — lists and bold text now show properly.
- A card you can move — drag the answer card by its header, or minimise it out of the way.
🧠 New AI Tools (Pro)
Alongside Define, Simplify and Summarize, v2.11.0 adds five new ways to work with the text in front of you:
- Key points — under a summary, switch from Paragraph to Key points for a short list instead. Your choice is remembered.
- In this sentence — after a Define answer, get the meaning of the word as it is used in the sentence where you found it.
- Check my understanding — a few multiple-choice questions on what you read, shown one at a time, each with the passage from the text that supports the answer. Your answers stay on your device.
- Words to know (Reader Mode) — picks up to 10 hard words from the section you are reading and defines them.
- Simplify this section (Reader Mode) — replaces the section with a plain-language version, labelled "Simplified by AI"; choose Show original to switch back.
Every tool sends text only when you press its button — the privacy policy says exactly what each one sends. For a study-focused walkthrough, read Check My Understanding, Words to Know & Simplify This Section.
📖 A Cleaner Reader Mode
Reader Mode itself got a refresh:
- A cleaner design with higher-contrast text.
- AI tools in the Insights panel, so Simplify this section, Words to know and Check my understanding sit right next to the section you are reading.
- The outline is closed by default, giving the article more room.
- Article lists are kept, so bulleted and numbered lists come through as lists.
🔤 Font Changes Switch
Turn Font changes off to keep the site's own typography while every other aid — ruler, overlay, focus line and the rest — stays on. Turn it back on to apply FocusFlow fonts, size and spacing again.
- In the popup, use the Font changes switch next to the Font heading.
- Or open Advanced Settings → Typography tab → Options → Font changes.
This release also fixes the typing cursor so it lines up in text fields.
